Paris, France: This is an old photo I shot of Notre Dame. I went up to a hotel on the fifth floor to get this shot, which is hard. Normally you are not authorized to go up there. That was before Notre Dame burned down. Now it is getting repaired. And it's still one of my most crazy views of Notre Dame. This image is in my coffee table book about Paris.
You can see the bridges over the Seine River. On the right side of the image is Square Viviani which is a little park next to the historic bookstore Shakespeare and Company. Notre Dame sits on an island in the center of the Seine River called Ile de La Cite and is not far from the Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle. The sepia tone of this image brings out the history of Paris and is timeless.
