This is Montmartre, the oldest part of Paris with these famous stairs and the old Haussmann buildings. La Halte Brasserie is a lively place on the street corner. This is the intersection of Rue Custine, Rue Becquerel, and Rue Bachelet. Montmartre sits high on a hill above the city of Paris, and stairs like these are a common sight in this beautiful historic area. This is near the Sacre Coeur Basilica, a prominent landmark in Montmartre.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to create pictures that people could enjoy. I remember in the 80's when I started seeing the first computer generated images I was amazed by the colors and the drama. I became a huge fan of the epic and dramatic look that you experience in Cinema. Movies like Gladiator, Gone with the Wind, The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan or Sherlock Holmes have such distinct drama with amazing sunsets, clouds and color themes. I know most of it is not real, but I still love it. Some of my photos are heavily retouched, some are not.
