This is the view of Manhattan and New Jersey from the Empire State Building in New York. I was between two planes, and I had five hours. So I got a ticket with my phone and got up to the Empire State Building to take that shot, and then flew back to Los Angeles. And it was my first few hours in New York, and I love that view. You can see the Hudson River, Manhattan, One World Trade Center, Jersey City, and in the distance the Statue of Liberty and Staten Island.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to create pictures that people could enjoy. I remember in the 80's when I started seeing the first computer generated images I was amazed by the colors and the drama. I became a huge fan of the epic and dramatic look that you experience in Cinema. Movies like Gladiator, Gone with the Wind, The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan or Sherlock Holmes have such distinct drama with amazing sunsets, clouds and color themes. I know most of it is not real, but I still love it. Some of my photos are heavily retouched, some are not.
